Fix an upload

Start with what you can see.

Choose the symptom that matches your video. Each fix starts with the quickest check and keeps the original file untouched.

Before TikTok Studio

A lighter export is easier to handle.

These are troubleshooting targets for playback or loading, not account upload limits. Check your plan’s file-size limit before uploading.

Under 50 MB

Common fixes

Pick the closest match, then try the fix.

Try the listed step, then check the same video again before changing the export.

Issue 1

Video glitches when watching on phone

Reset the TikTok app cache, then reopen the video. Cached playback can keep showing a broken version even after the upload is fine.

Check: compare the post in a browser before exporting again.

Issue 2

Video takes a long time to load

Export the video at 1080p or lower, keep the bitrate around 20 Mbps or lower, keep the final file under 50 MB when you want smoother phone playback, and avoid Alpha + RGB exports for uploads meant to play on phones.

Check: review the resolution, bitrate, and size of the public playback file with the TikTok post checker.

Issue 3

TikTok Studio upload gets stuck

If the upload is moving slowly, check your internet connection. If TikTok Studio freezes, refresh it, sign in again if asked, and disable other upload extensions before retrying.

Website: wait for Upload120 to finish, download the prepared file, then select it in TikTok Studio with Upload120 auto-patch paused.

Chrome extension: with auto-patch on, select the original video in TikTok Studio and keep that tab open. The extension prepares and selects the file for you; no separate website preparation or download is needed.

Issue 4

File is rejected or does not show up

Avoid files that are still being written by your editor.

Check: finish the export, close the editor export task, and choose the completed file again.

Issue 5

The video won’t play on my PC

A processed video may not play in your computer’s video player. This can be normal, and the file should still work when you upload it to TikTok.
